| Follow me through Trickum Ridge
Animal Hospital, where you and your owner are always welcome!
But first we will need to stop
off at the groomers for my spa makeover. Josephine does an amazing job!
| Okay, I am ready for the tour;
follow me through the front door and into the reception area. This is where
your owner will check you in for boarding, grooming, bathing, and appointments.
| |
| While your owner is filling out
all of your necessary paperwork you can have a seat in the waiting area, browse
through our retail section (I need a new collar), or (my favorite) make sure
that your owner has your food and treat supply well stocked. |

|
| Oh, look what do we have here;
Tucker is in the middle of his wellness exam. Dr. Hiland gave him an A+ Report
Card! | |
| We want to make sure that Irma
doesn’t have any intestinal parasites. Did you know that most parasites are
only detected by microscope and you can prevent most of them by staying on your
preventative year round?
| If you are not feeling well and
need to have medication, our pharmacy has plenty of prescriptions to get you
back on your paws again.
| Excuse me for just a minute; I am
being paged for a phone call.
| Thank you for your patience;
let’s go check on Dr. Baker. It looks like Samus needs a little more in depth
examination. It’s a good thing that we have an in house laboratory (to run
blood work) and ultrasound machine so that we can help her.
Sometimes you may need to have an
x-ray in order to diagnose your condition, enabling our doctors to perform the
best care possible to keep you in the loving arms of your owner. Do you think this protective gear
shows off my figure? | |
In some cases we may need to
perform surgical procedures. I’m not permitted to enter beyond this point for
sanitary purposes, but you can see how well equipped the operating room is. Our doctors perform routine surgeries on a daily basis.
| Can we stop for a quick belly
rub? | |
| Thanks, now tag along with me to
the boarding resort and spa. First off, my feline friends get to have their own
spacious condos. Even I could come over for a visit, but they have rules about
that sort of thing. | |
| For my geriatric and/or smaller
friends, we have 4 foot and great-dane kennels and for my larger friends we
have runs for them to spend the weekend or an extended vacation in the boarding
facility. My favorite is the optional playtimes in the play yard. |
|
| And before you go home the kennel
staff does a GREAT job of making you smell great & feel good too! Make sure
to ask your owners if they would like for you to have a bath before you go
home. | |
| Finally, we will end up right
back where we started, at the front desk. Your owners will check out here. This
is your last chance to be on your best behavior and you just might talk them
into a toy or a new collar.
| Well, thank you so much for going
on this tour with me. I am going to take a nap now. I am exhausted!
